Durante una capacitación, en las oficinas donde fue la casa de atención a Víctimas del Delito de la  Procuraduría Estatal en la colonia Revolución en Tijuana, al menos 14 agentes ministeriales fueron detenidos por el ejército mexicano. Aunque no es oficial, una de las razones por las que pudieron ser detenidos estos elementos: es por nexos con el ex Director de Enlace Internacional de la PGJE: Jesús Quiñones arrestado el pasado Viernes tras investigaciones del FBI.

Datos extra oficiales indican que al menos 32 policías municipales de Tijuana y 7 estatales preventivos también están detenidos, por lo que en total habría más de 40 agentes de diversas corporaciones, inclusive adscritos a Tecate y Playas de Rosarito investigados por las autoridades federales contra la delincuencia organizada.

Se espera que más tarde en el Cuartel de la Colonia Morelos en Tijuana, el ejército presente resultados. Fuera del lugar donde fueron detenidos los ministeriales aún quedaron sus unidades oficiales.
