Atacan a balazos al comandante de la policía Ministerial en Playas de Rosarito frente a las instalaciones de la Sub Procuraduría de Justicia Estatal, el jefe ministerial fallece durante la atención médica y otro agente resulta gravemente herido.

Sujetos armados esperaron el momento preciso para emboscar al Comandante de la Policía Ministerial de Playas de Rosarito: Antonio Sánchez durante la noche del Martes. En el justo momento cuando abordaba su vehículo frente a las instalaciones de la Sub Procuraduría de Zona en el Boulevard Popotla, detonaron armas cortas en al menos 15 ocasiones logrando herir de gravedad al jefe policíaco y a otro agente.

El ejército mexicano, la policía Ministerial, Municipal y Estatal Preventiva iniciaron los operativos para detener a los responsables que presuntamente huyeron al sur, rumbo a Ensenada.

La Cruz Roja del quinto municipio fue resguardada, la atención médica para Antonio Sánchez se le brindó pero las lesiones lograron quitarle la vida. Mientras el otro agente fue trasladado al Issstecali, sus lesiones de acuerdo al análisis preliminar le daban más esperanzas de vida.

En el lugar de los hechos se encontraba el Sub Procurador de Zona: Rafael González quién escuchó la emboscada, el Secretario de Seguridad Pública de Rosarito: Eduardo Montero llegó minutos más tarde para iniciar con las pesquisas, operativos de los que al momento se tienen pocos resultados.
