Skype, el popular servicio de telefonía por Internet anunció ayer que espera recaudar 100 millones de dólares en cuanto haga su primer oferta pública de acciones en bolsa.

Skype, que ofrece el servicio de video-llamadas de bajo costo a través de Internet, planea cotizar en Nasdaq, el mercado accionario para empresas de tecnología. La empresa ha cambiado de propietarios constantemente desde su fundación en el año 2003, pero a pesar de ello está valuada en dos mil setecientos millones de dólares y cuenta con 124 millones de usuarios, quienes la utilizan para generar 95 mil millones de minutos de video-llamadas al mes.

Se espera que sea la entrada a bolsa más exitosa para una compañía tecnológica desde que Google comenzó a vender acciones en 2004.
