El presidente de México, Felipe Calderón Hinojosa reconoció que si bien en 2009 "nos llovió sobre mojado", porque a la peor crisis económica se sumó el virus de la influenza A(H1N1), la reactivación del turismo está dando frutos.    

Al inaugurar las plantas de tratamiento de aguas residuales y la desalinizadora del polígono Litibú en este municipio, el mandatario llamó a redoblar el esfuerzo en beneficio del turismo de la Riviera Nayarita y en general de todo México.   

Informó que los proyectos de inversión total en las plantas suman 750 millones de pesos, a lo que habrá de añadirse un estimado de cinco mil millones de pesos de recursos privados en todas las etapas del proyecto, que generará tres mil empleos directos y 10 mil indirectos.

REITERA CONDOLENCIAS A CHILE POR TERREMOTO

Calderón Hinojosa expresó sus condolencias a su homóloga de Chile, Michelle Bachelet, por las afectaciones causadas por el sismo de 8.8 grados en la escala de Richter que sacudió esa nación el sábado.

En una gira de trabajo por Nayarit, Calderón precisó que Chile ha estado con México en las buenas y en las malas por lo que, dijo, el país hermano debe estar seguro que cuenta con el respaldo de los mexicanos, así como con su apoyo fraterno y solidario para recuperarse de esta tragedia lo más pronto posible.
