Un día después de que Carlos Salinas de Gortari aseguró que su sucesor, Ernesto Zedillo, filtró a empresarios información confidencial sobre la devaluación de 1994, senadores y diputados federales de diversos partidos dieron opiniones disímbolas sobre los dichos del ex presidente.

El senador del Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) Francisco Labastida Ochoa dijo que tanto Salinas como Zedillo son responsables de la crisis económica que comenzó en 1994.

Sin embargo, sostuvo que Salinas tiene derecho a dar su versión: "no veo que nos deba sorprender en lo mínimo".

El secretario general del PRI, el senador Jesús Murillo Karam, quien fue gobernador de Hidalgo en la administración de Zedillo y luego subsecretario de Seguridad Pública de la Secretaría de Gobernación, se limitó a señalar: "todos tenemos derecho a opinar en este país. Eso hay que preservarlo y hay que cuidarlo con mucho detenimiento".

La senadora María de los Ángeles Moreno, quien fue secretaria de Pesca en el gabinete de Salinas, no quiso hablar del tema. "No estoy enterada", aseveró.

A su vez, el senador perredista Graco Ramírez consideró en conferencia de prensa que los dichos del ex presidente deben interpretarse como "el retorno de Salinas para fortalecer la candidatura presidencial de (Enrique) Peña Nieto (gobernador del estado de México). Es el estratega de esa campaña, trata de lavarse la cara culpando a Zedillo. Ahora él, cínicamente, dice que la banca debe ser mexicanizada, pero él se la entregó a sus amigos, y el otro (Zedillo) que rescató a la banca terminó extranjerizándola".

En la Cámara de Diputados también hubo reacciones. Mientras el PRI resaltó que nadie ha desmentido las declaraciones de Salinas, el Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) atribuyó esas afirmaciones a "reyertas entre priístas, a un ajuste de cuentas".

Francisco Rojas Gutiérrez, coordinador de la bancada priísta, afirmó: "los hechos hablan por sí mismos. Lo que dijo el ex presidente Salinas lo ha expresado en los años recientes y eso es un hecho, ahí está. No veo que alguien lo haya rebatido. La crisis existió, nos costó muchos empleos y crecimiento económico".

En contraparte, el vicecoordinador del PAN, Roberto Gil, sostuvo que tanto Zedillo como Salinas deben dar muchas explicaciones sobre sus respectivos sexenios, sus errores y omisiones.

"Las declaraciones de Salinas reflejan que la crisis de 1994-1995 fue generada por decisiones de un gobierno que no supo manejar las finanzas públicas."

El coordinador de la fracción perredista, Alejandro Encinas, consideró que la Procuraduría General de la República tiene la obligación de iniciar una indagatoria para deslindar las declaraciones de Salinas y determinar qué delitos habría cometido Zedillo.
